You looking for New York style? This isn’t it. You looking for Chicago Deep Dish? This isn’t it. You looking for somebody who is original, not an imposter and CARES about the food they are making? This is for you! We got a large half pepperoni half cheese to split with the kids and my wife got a cold Italian sub. Man oh man was it good! I was expecting it to be basic food with basic taste, but they surprised me. The staff was super friendly and gave us a short run down of the menu, giving us time to decide. It took 25min for our food to cook, but that’s only because he was making everything fresh to order, and it showed in the quality and taste! The crust is definitely unique. It is more like a hand tossed, but it has the chew of a New York style crust and the softness of a standard hand tossed/Chicago style deep dish. But the outer edge is slightly crispy with some crispy cheese that cooks on during the bake. The sauce has a good sweetness and he put just enough on it, and a perfect layer of cheese and pepperoni. My wife’s sub was large and you could tell everything was cut fresh. No browning in the lettuce or other veggies. The meats were of outstanding quality. Our family of 6 were definitely satisfied and will be back. Be sure you keep an eye out for it, as it is super small and no room for dining, but it was worth the hunt and every penny.
